The A. D. Williams King Chapel for Children, fondly referred to as Children’s Chapel, fosters the continued growth of children in Nursery (ages 3-5) and grades Pre-K through 8th Grade. Child participants engage in their own interactive and relevant Sunday worship experience during the 11 a.m. service on Sundays August through June.
During the summer, we are on a sabbatical for the purpose of reflection and rejuvenation.
Additionally, within the Children’s Ministry at large, there are numerous opportunities to participate in sub-ministries such as the Children’s Choir, Girl, Cub and Boy Scouts, Children’s Dance Ministry, and Junior Deacon’s Program.
Sunday worship experiences for children are held in the Christian Educational Building. Registration for check-in begins at 10:45 a.m. in Room 101.
Children’s Ministry ends when service in the Horizon sanctuary ends. Parents should pick-up and check-out their child(ren) immediately following the service.
If your child is interested in being involved in any of our sub-ministries or has questions, please feel free to contact Reverend Chelsea D. Waite at .

Community Service Project
We came together and prepared over 100 fruit baskets for the Thanksgiving season for Carrie Steele-Pitts, a local children’s shelter.
Trunk or Treat Community Service Project
Not only did the children come dressed like someone they admired, but they prepare and delivered 100 care packages to Legacy Nursing Home. Can you guess who our children dressed up as?
